Her journey into science advocacy began after years in the corporate sector, where she observed how vast resources were often consumed for short‑lived needs. This realisation, coupled with Singapore’s vulnerability to the effects of global warming, inspired her to dedicate her career to environmental education and outreach.

Her experience and knowledge gained through environmental studies at NUS helps to bridge the gap between evidence and impact in her role. Aside from being grounded in analysis and research, Jasmine finds importance in creating good relations with and is curious to understand the habits and motivations of the average Singaporean. She believes that greater accessibility to sustainability science and strong community support can spur behavioural change and enduring impact.
