Hello. I was wondering if you know of any recycling centres in Singapore that can host a preschool classroom visit? My class of 4-year-olds are currently learning about recycling and are very eager for a field visit to a possible location. Hear from you! Thank you very much.

Hi Cynthia, the recycling companies usually don’t allow visits by preschoolers. But you can still try with the facilites at http://app2.nea.gov.sg/topics_localrecfacilities.aspx.

Hi Nicholas, we are checking with NEA on the types of items that can be recycled, including CDs. Will post more info when we get a reply from them.

    Hi,

I’m looking for recycled building products in singapore such as reconstituted wood or driftwood or reconstituted plastic crates etc. Do you have a database of companies that offers green products?

    Thanks

Hi Yen, you can check the SGBC product listing at http://www.sgbc.sg/index.php/listing/products/.

Hello, I’m wondering if I could use some of the pictures in your site for my pupils. They are looking for pictures of recyclable items and those which are not and your website gives a very good example of them. Is there any formalities I’ve to go through to use the pictures?

Hi Rashidah, you can use the pics as long as you include a credit to Zero Waste Singapore or link back to the original website.

Hello. I wish to ask if you know of any recycling centers ( companies or organisations ) in Singapore that made products from leaves litter? Thanks

Hi Jerome, horticultural waste are usually collected by the landscape contractors and sent for composting. If the leaves are swept up by cleaners in housing estates and disposed into the rubbish bins, then they are not recycled.
